The objectives of the Association are established to save lives, advance health, and protect animals for the benefit of the Hong Kong community.

To enhance the capabilities of the trained rescue volunteers through professional exchanges and sharing of experiences

To maintain liaison with local, overseas, and mainland counterparts and participate in various conferences and training to strengthen communication and share experiences

To promote emergency preparedness knowledge in the community

To support humanitarian relief and disaster recovery operations when necessary

With the support of the Shenzhen Eastern General Aviation Co., Ltd. (Heli-Eastern), the HKVRA volunteers particpated the Helicopter Rescue Foundation Training. It helps to broaden their perspectives and enhance their capacity
The HKVRA has joined the "Little Doctor" Programme which organized by the Community Medical and Education Services Association as co-organiser in 2024.
The new Training Centre of the Hong Kong Volunteer Rescue Association in Youth Square, Chai Wan was officially opened.
HKVRA volunteers participated "Automated People Mover (APM) Breakdown Contingency Exercise 2024" in the Hong Kong International Airport as simulated passnegers.

HKVRA provided onsite first aid service for the Hong Kong Seeing Dog Service Training School Open Day.
In order to promote the Principe of Community Resilience, the HKVRA volunteers shared the home safety and basic first aid knowledge to the local volunteers of the Care Team of Wong Tai Sin Districts.
